Preheat the oven to 350F/180C and line an 8x8 inch square baking dish with baking paper.
Melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil together. Set aside.
In a large bowl, add the eggs and coconut sugar. Mix using an electric mixer until the mixture looks fluffy and changes color. It will take about 5 minutes.
Incorporate the melted chocolate while mixing on low speed.
Gently fold in the cocoa powder, almond flour, and baking powder using a rubber spatula.
Fold in the chocolate chips into the brownie batter, then pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Smooth out the tops, and sprinkle more chocolate chips on top.
Bake for 18-20 minutes in the preheated oven or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out mostly clean.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
