These Air Fryer Chicken Wings come out unbelievably crispy on the outside while the meat stays juicy and tender. Cooking wings in the air fryer instead of deep frying keeps them lighter and healthier, and they are ready in just 30 minutes. Toss them in a low carb Buffalo sauce and your meal is done.
In a medium bowl, mix the melted unsalted butter, Frank’s Red Hot, and sweetener. Keep warm.
Air Fryer Chicken Wings
Pat the chicken wings very dry with paper towels. Removing moisture is key for crispy skin.
In a small bowl, mix baking powder (aluminum free), salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Sprinkle over the wings and toss until every piece is evenly coated.
Place wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 380°F (190°C) for 13 minutes, then flip and cook another 13 minutes.
Increase temperature to 400°F (200°C) and cook for 5 to 8 minutes until the wings are crispy, golden, and the skin is lightly browned.
Transfer the hot wings to a bowl and toss with warm Buffalo sauce. Serve immediately.
