This keto fried chicken is extremely crispy, succulent, full of flavor, and a crowd-pleaser. The almond flour low carb breading is super easy to make. Enjoy quick and easy fried chicken ready in just 30 minutes with simple ingredients.
½cupalmond flour or unflavored whey protein powder
For Frying
Coconut oil or another high-heat oil for deep frying
Instructions
Cut the chicken thighs into 1-inch bite-sized pieces.
In a large bowl or zip-top bag, combine the chicken, egg, minced garlic, and all spices. Toss until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Place the almond flour or whey protein powder in a shallow bowl. Remove the chicken from the fridge and coat each piece evenly, shaking off any excess.
Heat 2 to 3 inches of oil in a deep pot to 350 to 375°F, or preheat a deep fryer to 375°F.
Fry the chicken in small batches for 5 to 6 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Do not overcrowd the pot.
Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve immediately.
