This quick and easy creamy garlic shrimp is loaded with amazing flavor, ready to enjoy in just 15 minutes. One skillet shrimps cooked in a creamy garlic parmesan cream sauce is the perfect dish with pasta or a side of your favorite veggies.
Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Sear for 1 to 2 minutes per side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Transfer the shrimp to a plate and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the butter. When melted, stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.
Reduce the heat slightly. Pour in the white wine or chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Stir and let the mixture come to a gentle simmer.
Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Season with a little more salt and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 2 to 3 minutes to start thickening.
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Allow the sauce to simmer until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
Add the cooked shrimp back to the pan and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Stir gently to coat the shrimp in the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Serve hot over pasta, steamed vegetables, cauliflower rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
