Discover how to make homemade keto croutons that are crispy, golden, and incredibly easy to prepare with just a few simple ingredients you already have in your kitchen. Perfect for salads or soups, these low-carb croutons are so delicious, you’ll never go back to store-bought!
Prepare the Bread Recipe. If you haven't already, bake your cheddar bread according to our recipe. Once baked, let it cool completely.
Cut the Bread into Cubes. Once the keto bread has cooled, cut it into small cubes with a sharp knife. Aim for roughly 1-inch cubes for optimal crouton size.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Toss with Olive Oil. Place the cheddar bread cubes in a large bowl. Drizzle with 2 tbsp of olive oil, and toss the cubes to coat them evenly.
Bake the Croutons. Spread the coated bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Bake until Crispy. Bake the cheddar bread cubes for 20-25 minutes, tossing halfway through until golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them, as they can burn quickly toward the end of baking.
Cool and Store. Once crispy, remove the croutons from the oven and let them cool. Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze them for longer storage.
