How To Store Cauliflower

If you know how to store cauliflower, you can make healthy and delicious meals throughout the year.

  • Fridge – We clean the ends of stems and yellow leaves, wrap them in hanging foil, and put them in vegetable trays. The option for newspapers and bags is acceptable, but you must check your vegetables regularly by changing the packaging.
  • Freezer – For best results, boil cauliflower for no more than 5 minutes, then dry it well. Now put the cauliflower in a ziplock bag and freeze it for up to three months.

How To Clean The Cauliflower

  1. First, remove the leaves so that they reach the stem.
  2. With a knife cut around the stem. The cauliflower bouquets are attached to the main stem and have other stems.
  3. You can separate them by placing the knife between the flowers and the stem. Once you have removed the stem, you can easily open smaller bunches or leave them large, depending on how they will be cooked or the food in which they will be used.

Tips For Making The Perfect Cauliflower Rice

  • Cauliflower rice is easy to make with a food processor, but you can chop the florets by hand for a more ‘chunky’ rice or shred the cauliflower into small pieces with the coarse side of a box grater.
  • Make sure you don’t overcook the cauliflower rice since it will become too mushy. You will know it’s ready to serve once the ‘grains’ are heated.
