I used aged cheddar cheese because that’s what I had in the fridge, but any shredded cheese would work perfectly. Just make sure to cook them long enough and allow low carb cheese chips to completely cool down before serving. Even a combo of your favorite cheeses or leftover cheese makes fantastic baked cheese crisps.
You can also use any kind of high-fat cheese such as:
- shredded mozzarella
- gouda cheese
- parmesan cheese.
How to Make Keto Cheese Chips?
For this batch of cheese chips, I used different toppings.
You can grate the cheese on your own to avoid the extra ingredients added to the pre-grated cheese packages.
I wanted something spicy so I topped each cheese pile with jalapeño slices.
For the keto pizza chips, I used a tiny bit of tomato paste and dried oregano. This combo is by far my favorite. You should definitely try it.

Ingredients
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 jalapeno pepper
spices: salt, pepper, smoked paprika, taco seasoning
Optional: tomato paste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F / 200°C.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spoon one tablespoon piles of shredded cheese on the parchment paper until you have no cheese left.
- Place jalapeño slices on top of each cheese pile.
- Bake until the edges are golden, about 10-12 minutes.
- Let them cool down and serve them at room temperature.
